FRUTO* is a Protofanousi Fruits S.A. brand, which packs only best quality kiwis and cherries.
The company is active since 1928 and over the years it has invested heavily in infrastructure, technology and quality assurance systems from the field to the packing and storing units. Over 27 million Euros have already been invested in the last few years and another 8 million is planned for the next.
All establishments and production units are private and count for 25.000m2, which include a packing facility in Thessaloniki, refrigerators in Pella and Pieria as well as a store in the Central Fruit Market of Thessaloniki.

Kiwis
Protofanousi Fruits ranks at the top of the Greek kiwi exports companies. Most of the production is of the Hayward variety and comes from Pieria and Arta, two of the most favourable areas in Europe for kiwi growing.
Cherries
Protofanousi Fruits is also the largest Greek cherry exporter. The Fruto cherries production comes from Pella, North Greece, where cherry orchards extend into the foothills of Voras Mountains to an altitude of 1,100 meters.
FRUTO fruits are currently exported to China, India, Italy and Spain.
